The survey vessel МГС-404 named after Nikolay Boshnak

VLADIVOSTOK. May 30. VOSTOK MEDIA – A closing session of the Military Council was held on Pacific Fleet. During this session the Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet Konstantin Sidenko summed up the winter training period of Pacific Fleet forces. He made an analysis of the activity of the Military Administration, indicated some drawbacks and pointed some purposes out. One of the main questions of the Military Council was appellation of the survey vessel МГС-404 by the title Nikolay Boshnak. The information service of the Pacific Fleet reported to Vostok Media that the Commander-in-Chief of the Fleet Konstantin Sidenko called the vessel Nikolay Boshnak.
Nikolay Boshnak was a legendary Russian traveler, explorer of the Russian Far East, lieutenant commander of the Fleet. The lieutenant made an invaluable contribution to exploration of the Far East Region.
