Primorye Sends Peacekeeping Unit to Chechnya

The unit, comprising 59 police officers, started for Grozny on Feb. 8.

VLADIVOSTOK. February 9. VOSTOK-MEDIA – A team of Primorsky Krai police officers have been sent to the Chechen Republic to participate in a peacekeeping mission, a spokesman for Primorsky Kari Department of the Interior told Vostok-Media.


The unit, comprising 59 police officers, started for Grozny on Feb. 8. They will maintain peace and order in Grebenskaya village for six months, officials said.


Aleksandr Mamrak, Deputy Head of Primorsky Krai Interior Department, will accompany the troops to the Republic.
