South Korea has launched a crackdown on undocumented immigrants illegally resident or working in the country.

KHABAROVSK. May 13. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Border checkpoints of Khabarovsk and Jewish Autonomous District are registering an increased number of Russian nationals deported from South Korea for violations of immigration laws.

A spokesman for Khabarovsk Border Service told Vostok-Media South Korea has recently launched a crackdown on undocumented immigrants illegally resident or working in the country.

The move came following increased social tensions in Korea resulting from the global economic meltdown, the all-round fall in the living standards and job cuts.
