VLADIVOSTOK. August 19. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Khasan District Customs filed six administrative charges of illegal transportation of highly potent drugs in July and August.
Khasan Customs spokeswoman Tatyana Pakulova said five charges have been filed against Chinese nationals, who were carrying drugs while on their way to Russia to raise some money. None of them filed out a passengers’ declaration form; nor had they any licenses or other permitting documents needed for import of potent drugs, the spokeswoman said.
The Customs officers confiscated a total of 70 drugs, which contain highly potent ingredients: phenobarbital, pseudoephedrine, hydrochloride and ibuprofen.
Another charge was launched against a Russian woman who was on her return trip to Primorye carrying 120 Chinese weight-loss pills. The anti-obesity medicines contained the highly active ingredient - sibutramine.
