The cheapest cigarettes will cost 100 rubles per pack

VLADIVOSTOK. April 7. VOSTOK-MEDIA - The Ministry of Finance proposed to substantially increase excise taxes on tobacco. But the budget will receive additional revenue of a hundred billion, and part of the tobacco market will become illegal, experts predict.
Speaking on Wednesday before the deputies, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has suggested raising the excise tax on tobacco products in 2015 from the current 270 rubles 3 rubles per thousand cigarettes. Thus, for four years, the Finance Ministry wants the excise taxes increased nine times.
In 2012, Kudrin said, the excise tax on tobacco will increase by 60%, followed by a more significant growth. In 2014, the amount of excise taxes on tobacco reaches 1,5-2 thousand rubles per thousand cigarettes, and in 2015 - has already voiced the level of 3 million rubles.
