The chairman of the Khabarovsk Territory local legislature Viktor Chudov urged deputies to work on a proposal of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev. During a recent meeting with the President, he suggested to allot free of charge to residents of the Russian Far East on a hectare of land on the eastern outskirts of the country. Also such allotments may be allocated to any citizens who want to move permanently to the Far East.
“The presidential envoy’s suggestion evoked a wide public response. Khabarovsk Territory will become one of the pilot projects. We need to work on his proposal so that people get these support measures”, — the Speaker Viktor Chudov said, opening the first in 2015 session of the regional parliament.
The chairman recalled that last year the Legislative Duma of Khabarovsk Krai had taken an active part in the work on the draft law "On territories of rapid socio-economic development in the Russian Federation". Colleagues in the State Duma of Russia agreed on a number of issues with the proposals of the Khabarovsk Territory.
“I think we need to continue this activity in other most important existing laws, as well as legislative initiatives affecting the interests of the residents of our region and the Far Eastern Federal District. We count on the support of fellow legislators from Parliamentary Association "Far East and Transbaikalia", the Council of Legislators Russia, our senators and deputies of the State Duma who represents the interests of the Khabarovsk Krai in the Federal Assembly”, — the chairman told.
He also noted the need for changes in the regional law in connection with the adoption of a number of federal regulations which aimed at stimulating economic activity. Now on the official website of the Legislative Duma users can discuss a draft regional law "On State Support of the industrial parks in the Khabarovsk Territory" which was prepared by the deputies of the region.
