Vladimir Putin Opened New Academic Year with Students of FESU

VLADIVOSTOK. 1 September. VOSTOK-MEDIA. On September, 1, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with students of Far Eastern State University. Vladimir Putin visited new scientific library and was told about development plans of the University.
Premier met with students and answered to their questions: about education reforms in Russia, last decisions of Russian Government in development of Russian Science and perfecting of education system.
Earlier, at the Parliamnet meeting Vladimir Putin underscored that financing of education in 2009 will increase 26% up to 423 billion roubles. Parliament will start financing new goal programs, one of which is preparation of young scientific manpower. 9.6 billion roubles will be spent to realize its program.
In spite of Putin presence in the University, its leaders decided not to change plan of events aimed at September, 1.
