Swine Flu Broke Loose in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. October 30. VOSTOK-MEDIA - The spread of the highly pathogenic influenza in Primorsky Krai is brought under control, Valentina Voronok, Head of Center of Sanitary Supervision & Disease Control for Primorsky Krai, told RIA Vostok-Media.

“Every day we monitor the situation in the region, collect relevant information and place the gathered data on Rospotrebnadzor website. To date, a total of 58 H1N1 cases have been registered in Primorsky Krai, but things will change,” – Valentina Voronok stated.

According to her, all necessary measures to safeguard the population are taken based on the information obtained.

“Health care experts have a range of therapeutic means to fight against infectious diseases. But Primorsky Krai residents are able to protect themselves against the diseases wearing a flu mask. It must be kept in mind, however, that the safety mask should be changed every four hours,” – she added.
