Divers Job at the APEC Objects

VLADIVOSTOK. 1 December. VOSTOK-MEDIA. In the end of November, there was held an underwater search of the levee raised as a base for an artificial island which will support a bridge pylon #6. Divers searched the condition of the underwater slopes, measured the thickness of silt on the sea bottom and took underwater pictures. Such underwater expeditions will be held regularly in order to define the precise amount of ground and effects on the environment.
Initially, the pylon was planned to be located at the distance from the shore which would shorten the gap between forward pylons. But then this decision was reconsidered. Now, pylons will be constructed closer to the shore which would make the montage works easier, eliminate the possibility of throwing the ground into the water and dimming the water. It will also widen the space for navigation. One pylon will be constructed on the peninsular Nazimov and another on the opposite side, the peninsular Saperniy. Every pylon is based on the artificial islands. The construction of the pylon supports is very serious as it is necessary to hammer 120 piles in, every of which at 45-50 m.
