PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. April 2. VOSTOK MEDIA – Father Ignatiy, the Archpriest of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka, set for trip to the North Pole on April 2. An aircraft of the Russian Federal Security Service will deliver him to a pole station most closely located to the North Pole.
The press service of the Kamchatka Eparchy reports, on April 5 Father Ignatiy will serve a liturgy at the pole station. During the service the Archpriest will bless a flag that was fixed up on the top of the Kilimanjaro Mountain by a group of Kamchatka alpinists.
