New Russian Oil Pipe-lines Mean Export Grows
Six new fields are being elaborated for oil pipe-line Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean
VLADIVOSTOK. July 2. VOSTOK MEDIA – Among the most significant oil pipe-line projects of Russia are Burgas-Alexandrupolis, Unecha-Primorsk, Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO), Khariaga-Indiga. The construction of Western oil pipe-line is planned to be finished till 2009 and ESPO project is planned to be finished till 2015.
The length of ESPO will be 4800 km, capacity - 80 millions tons of oil per year, the cost of the first output is 13,3 billions dollars.
According to the research data of the RosBusinessConsalting company new fields like Talakansky (Yakutia), Verkhnechonsky (Irkutsk Oblast), Yurubchano-Tokomskiy (Evenkiya) and some others are being elaborated in ESPO.
Along with the beginning of oil pipe-line construction to the Pacific Ocean the Transneft Company has begun the oil transport to the Barents Sea. A new system will improve the export capabilities of Russia.
