Igor Pushkarev Intends to Install Granite Curbing along Vladivostok Highways

VLADIVOSTOK. October 2. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The Vladivostok mayor Igor Pushkarev plans to install granite curbs along the city’s highways.

“Dozens of kilometers of granite curbs have been already installed on the Vladivostok highways. The granite curbing costs more than the concrete one, but it has an extremely long life span,” – stated Igor Pushkarev.

According to the mayor, unlike the previously installed concrete curbs, the quality of the new ones is very high.

“At present we use vibro-compressed concrete, which has a long lasting life span. The suppliers offer a guarantee and hold responsibility for its life duration. But it may be said without exaggeration that the granite curbing has no expiry date. Another thing, which is of no less importance, is that granite blocks are more beautiful than concrete ones,” – said Igor Pushkarev.

Earlier on Thursday, the mayor took a working trip around the city and made sure that the road works carried out in an efficient and timely manner.
