Mosque to be Built in Blagoveschensk

A mosque will soon be built in Blagoveschensk. The time of construction and exact location of the building are not yet determined. The mosque is likely to appear on the crossroad of the main streets in the city center. All possible variants are being actively discussed in the City Administration. Several areas are prepared for construction but its start is hampered as the Muslim community is not registered still.
Amur.info reports, the project of the Blagoveschensk mosque is based on the mosque in another Far Eastern city – Neryungri. The building is designed approximately for 400 men and will be constructed by invited architects. The mosque will be erected in compliance with all Muslim canons and shall blend in with the architectural style of the city. At present time the Blagoveschensk Muslims have no other place for collective prayer but the gym they rent.
