Japan Asia Airways Merged Back by Japan Airlines

VLADIVOSTOK. April 3. VOSTOK MEDIA – Japan Asia Airways, a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, was merged back by the parent company.
JAA was established in 1975 for flight communication between Japan and Taiwan. Japan Airlines had to create JAA after China had threatened to deny JALs proposed routes to the mainland China.
To resolve the standoff JAL established JAA that was operating services between Japan and Taiwan for over 30 years and sometimes between Taiwan, Hong Kong and Philippines.
Now when JAL is no longer state-owned, the separate air company for Taiwan lost its sense and therefore ceased operations on with all flights transferred to JAL
The last JAA flight was carried out on March 31, 2008, Travel.ru reports.
