152 Ammunition Items Destroyed Near Sofiisk-on-Amur Village

KHAbarovsk. July 3. VOSTOK-MEDIA – 152 ammunition items have been destroyed near Sofiisk-on-Amur village. The ammunition was discovered by the composite group of Chief Directorate of the MES of Russia for Khabarovsk Krai on the banks of Amur river. The composite group comprises skilled divers, pyrotechnicians and firemen, reported press service of MES of Russia.
The composite group has been working since July 11. During this time the specialists examined 98 hectare water area. The divers have descended to the bottom and creek of the river 61 times. The group has special facilities for searching and detection of explosives.
Since 2003 the pyrotechnic Service of MES of Russia has have made more than 20 raids in search for explosive devices. in the area of Sofiisk village. More than 50 air bombs have been destroyed.
