Cannes to see Sky’s black out from Vladivostok

A film shot in Vladivostok will be show during the 61st Cannes Film Festival

VLADIVOSTOK. May 3. VOSTOK MEDIA. – A short-film “Sky’s black out” (French-Russian co-production) will be show during the 61st Cannes Film Festival. The shooting of this film took place in Vladivostok in November 2007. The management of the International Film Festival Pacific Meridian reports that it was the second time when the famous French director F. J. Ossang referred to Vladivostok as a shooting stage. The famous French director first came to Vladivostok in 2007. During the Kinoproba project of the 5th international film festival Pacific Meridian he shot the film Edem by the Vladivostok schoolboy Tihon Makarov`s script.
F. J. Ossang’s new emotional work about man and woman relationship against the element background - ice, fire, water and sky - was shot in ten days. Selfless work of the actors Guy MacKnight and Elvire, designer - Jean-Vincent Puzos and F.J. Ossang from the French side; operator - Gleb Teleshev, sound - Anton Shepshelevich and "Primorskiy film-commission" headed by Alexander Doluda from Russian side, has brought the doubtless success. Our spectators will have the opportunity to watch both films (Sky`s Black Out and Edem) on the 6th edition of Pacific Meridian in September.
The La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs program of the Cannes Film Festival was organized by French Directors Society in 1969. During its existence it has opened and made the first French screenings of Werner Herzog, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, Jim Jarmusch, Spike Lee, Dardenn brothers, Sofia Coppola. The goal of the La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs program is the search of new talents in international cinema, directors of future masterpieces.
