Freedom of the Press in Russia is Being Trampled On

This was stated by the international human rights organization Freedom House
MOSCOW. May 4. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Freedom House stated that the freedom of the press in Russia is being trampled on.
In the annual report, made by the organization it is said about assassination of journalists. Moreover the majority of these crimes go unpunished. The report also gives information about inability of the Russian judicial service to protect newsmen and about the fact that state influences almost all mass media agencies.
According to rating that was made by Freedom House, the Russian Federation took 174th position out of 195, right between Yemen and Congo.
