Khabarovsk Hosts VI Far Eastern Economic Forum

KHABAROVSK. September 4. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The meeting of the working group of the Administration of Khabarovsk Krai on issues relating to the preparation for the hosting the VI Far Eastern International Economic Forum (FEIEF) has been held yesterday. Vyacheslav Shprot, Governor of Khabarovsk Krai, took part in the meeting.

According to the press-service office of the regional administration, delivering his speech at the meeting Valery Zinkin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Foreign Affairs of the region, stated that everything has been already arranged to host FEIEF. So far 546 participants of the forum were registered, 136 of them are representatives of foreign countries.

The list of speakers at panel discussions has been already drawn. The participants of the conference will hold talks on the strategy of social and economic development of the Russian Far East in the context of shaping of the new model of the national economy, production infrastructure, financial and institutional infrastructure as well as innovation and human capital assets.

The issues relating to the provision of medical services to the participants of the economic forum have been settled. The cultural programme has been adopted.

A visiting session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences will be held in Khabarovsk on September 7. In addition, the academicians will visit Komsomolsk-on-Amur and the company of strategic importance JSC KNAAPO.

Later on the same day the Official Party House will host a meeting of Organizing Committee of the IV Far Eastern Economic Forum will and press-conference for media.

The Amur River Region Interregional Trade Fair will be held at Lenin Stadium as part of the economic forum. More than 200 enterprises from all the municipalities of the Far Eastern Federal District and other regions of the country will take part in the Trade Fair.

The opening ceremony of the major event will is slated on September 9, 12:30 local time.
