Russian and North Korean Officials Held Talks on Situation at Russia-DPRK Maritime Boundary

Primorsky Krai Federal Border Service has hosted a meeting with the representatives of the Consulate General of DPRK in Nakhodka at the initiative of Russian authorities.

VLADIVOSTOK. December 4. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Primorsky Krai Federal Border Service has hosted a meeting with the representatives of the Consulate General of DPRK in Nakhodka at the initiative of the Russian authorities.


During the meeting, the head of the regional Border Guard Service, Lieutenant General Vladimir Lakizo and DPRK Consul-General Sim Guk Ryon have discussed a number of questions relating to the situation on Russia-North Korea border.


Lieutenant General stated that due to the North Korean actions aimed at prevention of violations of the boundary regime the situation on the Russia-North Korea maritime boundary has stabilized. Vladimir Lakizo extended his thanks to the Consulate General of DPRK in Nakhodka and Sim Guk Ryon in particular, for encouraging DPRK border control authorities to take effective preventive actions aimed at maintaining order on the PDRK-Russia maritime boundary.


Mr. Sim Guk Ryon expressed gratitude to Russian authorities for frank discussion and stated that North Korea will continue to take strict and decisive actions aimed at prevention of violations of the boundary regime, press office of Primorsky Krai Federal Border Service told RIA Vostok-Media.
