Yakutia-Produced Oil and Natural Gas to be Transported to Amur Region

BLAGOVESHCHENSK. March 5. VOSTOK-MEDIA – More than 10 million tons of crude oil are expected to be produced annually in the Republic of Sakha, Yakutia’s President Vyacheslav Shtyrov said at the meeting with Amur Oblast Gov. Oleg Kozhemyako and Chief Engineer at Vostoknefteprovod OOO Aleksander Zlenko.


Vyacheslav Shtyrov said hydrocarbon production is already underway in the Republic; a dozen of new oil fields are being developed. Black Gold of the North is expected to flaw through Easern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline to Skovorodino, from where the crude will be exported to the Asia-Pacific markets. The implementation of the project requires close cooperation between and mutual assistance of oil companies and the local authorities.


The perspective of Yakutia-produced gas supplies to the Amur River Region was yet another priority issue during the talks, a spokesman for Amur Oblast Administration told Vostok-Media.


As a result of the meeting it was said that a natural gas processing facility is likely to be constructed in the Amur River Region. The project, which provides for natural gas extraction and transportation, is to be implemented within two years. Dozens of millions of cubic meters of the clean fuel is expected to be extracted annually.
