Georgian military forces are being based on South-East of South Ossetia
VLADIVOSTOK. 5 September. VOSTOK-MEDIA. On South-East of South Ossetia Georgian forces are being based, says Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Murat Dzhioev.
“Georgian army is trying to base onto security zones in South Ossetia where there are not based Russian Peacekeepers. Georgian forces presence threatens security in the region. We are holding talks with Georgian side so that they leave illegally occupied territory. By now, situation is very intense”, - said Dzhioev.
He also mentioned that Republic’s authorities asked Moscow to increase peacekeeper contingent in the territory. “Now after Russia’s acknowledgement of South Ossetia we will sign a security regime treaty which will define force contingent and dislocations, - said Dzhioev, - though, talking beforehand is unnecessary”.
