New Bridge in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. 5 December. VOSTOK-MEDIA. In three weeks traffic in the funicular roundabout will be open again. By that time a tunnel will be constructed, ground back filling will be accomplished and a temporary road will be erected. Temporary traffic scheme will link Nekrasovskiy, Aksakovskiy, Sukhanov streets and Krasota Prospect.
Alexandr Gophman, director of CJSC “Pacific Bridge Constructing Company” said: “Another pedestrian overpass has been constructed. It will stay here until we finish the scheduled erections: a trade centre, asphalt laying and etc. Trade centre is the local authorities’ project. They have chosen a crowded place, reconciled with all officials. This trade centre is an independent private project but marked on all construction schemes. Private investor will be financing the project. We will only sketch a plan and bound the construction grounds”.
Tunnel and Bridge are responsibilities of “The Pacific Bridge Constructing Company”. “With the weather fine, we will erect the Golden Horn Bridge in time. The tunnel is separated into 12 twenty meter sectors. Deformation sutures connect the sectors. Every sector is an independently working system. If 100% concrete, more than a half of sectors are ready for backfilling. Constructors have started work on sector 7. Reinforcement has been started on sector 1. By the end of the week 8 sectors will be ready. Other four sectors will not cause any problems as well. In total, there will be 17 cubic meters of concrete.
Installation work is being done at pylons 6 and 7. 229-meter pylons 8 and 9 are the first bridge supporting constructions. Pylon 8 is on the pier 37; pylon 9 is on the territory of Pervomaisk Shiprepair Factory.
“So as the construction deadline is one year, we are going ahead of the schedule. Pylon erection is within the schedule limits, there are no serious lagging behind. By the New Year citizens will be able to drive at Funicular roundabout,” – summarized Alexandr Gofman.
