Hyundai’s Spare Parts Trough Nakhodka

NAKHODKA. May 6. VOSTOK MEDIA – The Hyundai Motor Group corporation examines a possibility of spare parts delivery for their Russian motorcar factories through Nakhodka ports. A mayor of Nakhodka Oleg Koladin and his first deputy Boris Gladkih discussed the prospects of cooperation in this direction with Korean businessmen.
The president of the Global Logistics company Kim Hong and the representative of the Glovis company with the vise-president Jin-Ki Hong at the head visited Nakhodka as a part of Korean businessmen delegation. In particular the Glovis company is a subdivision of the Hyundai Motor Group corporation. Glovis is responsible for logistics, marketing and production export.
During the meeting in the Nakhodka administration the guests informed of an interest in the use of Nakhodka ports’ capacity for spare parts delivery for their Russian motorcar factories. It was noted that Hyundai had 6th position in the world in car manufacture. Today the Russia South Korean corporation is presented by line in Taganrog motocar factory. Its’ output is about 120 000 units per year. The Nakhodka administration press service reports that the the Hyundai motorcar factory construction is planed in June 2008 in St. Petersburg.
The vise-president of the Glovis company Jin-Ki Hong said that the expansion of the Hyundai corporation work in Russia entails the increase of necessary equipment delivery. At the first stage the volume could constitute 50 000 TEU per year. With new factory this volume will be twice as much.
