Russian Japanese Scientific Symposium Opened on Sakhalin

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. May 6. VOSTOK MEDIA –An international Russian Japanese symposium: Historical Experience of reclaiming is opened in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. !0 scientists from 7 Japanese Universities, where the history of Sakhalin is studied, came for participation in this symposium. Sakhalin –Kurils reports that the explorers and scientists from Sakhalin State University, Far Eastern State University, Blagoveshchensk State University, the State Board of archives of Sakhalin Oblast, Sakhalin State Regional Museum, the representatives of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk represent the Russian side.
The president of Sakhalin State University, deputy of Regional Duma Boris Misikov said to the members of the symposium - Sakhalin State University, where the symposium is held, celebrates his first jubilee – 10 years. We should note that during these years tight scientific relations with the Universities of Japan are established. According to Misikov such kind of scientific forum is one of the factors of making the system of full University education on Sakhalin.
