Identification of 17 Bus Crash Victims Commenced in China

VLADIVOSTOK. September 6. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Chinese officials have commenced the identification of victims of September 3 bus-truck collision on Harbin – Qingdao highway, which left 17 killed and 32 badly injured.

Heilongjiang News Network reported the bus carrying tourists collided head-on with a truck and caught fire after one of its tires burst. At least two of the injured are in critical condition.

Changchun Police said the identification process is complicated because the bodies were badly charred. Collection of DNA samples from relatives of the victims has already begun, an official said. The identification may take several days.
