The Coat of the Killed Leopard was Found in Primorskiy Krai

VLADIVOSTOK. April 7. VOSTOK-MEDIA – On April 3 the police officers found the coat of the killed Far Eastern leopard in Ussuriisk. The spotted coat was found by th4e police officers during the car searching and was sent for carrying out expert examination to the Institute of Animal Breeding and Veterinary Medicine. Along with the specialists from agricultural academy, the hunting control department officers and members of WWF also took part in the examination.
Expert investigation showed that the coat belonged to a adult Far Eastern leopard, supposedly male. It is difficult to define accurately the reason of death of the animal only by its coat, but the presence of physical damage and specific brown stains may indicate the the reason of its death was a gunshot wound.
Its death is irreversible damage to the population of Far Eastern leopard.
