The Delegation of Vladivostok Visits the French Navy Frigate ‘Vandemaire’

VLADIVOSTOK. April 7. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The friendly visit of the French Navy Frigate ‘Valdemaire’ in Vladivostok goes on. The commander Frederic Benon, the captain II rank conducted official reception of the delegation of Vladivostok on April 6.
The delegation was headed by Natalya Voinovskaya, the vice Mayor of the city. In the course of the visit and conversations with line officers the matters concerning the development of neighborly relationships in Asian-Pacific region. These processes will be facilitated by 150-anniversary of the Vladivostok, the summit of mayors of the major cities of the Asian-Pacific region that will take place in 2010 and also APEC-2012 summit.
There were also discussed the issues of establishing of twin-city relations between Vladivostok and Noumea – the capitol of the main island of New Caledonia belonging to France since appearing of Napoleon.
