American Mariners to Participate in Victory Parade

VLADIVOSTOK. May 7. VOSTOK MEDIA –In May 7 the missile destroyer STETHEN of American Naval Forces will come on for a friendly visit in Vladivostok. The visit will be within the limits of the program of military cooperation between Russia and the USA and will last till May 11.
The head of the public relations service of Russian Pacific Fleet, the captain Roman Martov reports that during World War II the USSR and the USA were allies, so the visit of destroyer of American Naval Forces in Vladivostok on the eve of Victory Day will become a momentous event.
Martov said that a big antisubmarine warfare ship Admiral Vinogradov will be a leading vessel from the Russian side (according to NATO classification it is a guided weapon frigate).
The meeting of Russian and American mariners has two main goals: further development of naval cooperation in Asian-Pacific Region and the participation in celebrations on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
