700,000 Flowers to be Planted in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. May 7. VOSTOK-MEDIA – This year 700,000 flowers are expected to be planted in Vladivostok, a spokesman for the Vladivostok Administration told Vostok-Media. So far 40,000 flowers have been already planted in the city.

The city gardening takes place throughout the city as part of the 65^th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany.

In 2010, 54 million rubles have been allocated from the city budget for landscape gardening, which includes planting of flowers, trees and shrubs, as well as maintenance and renovation of lawns.

A spokesman for Vladivostok Agency for Maintenance of Housing and Landscaping said they plan to plant 300 trees, more than 6,000 shrubs and 700,000 flowers.
