Siberian Tiger Named Vitali Mauls Young Man
The injured person was hospitalized with deep wounds to his arms, whereas the tiger suffered no injuries during the incident.
VLADIVOSTOK. October 7. VOSTOK-MEDIA – On Monday morning one of the residents of Calgary Zoo, Canada, a Siberian tiger named Vitali, brutally mauled a young man, who had come too close to the tiger’s cage.
According to Calgary zoo official, a 27-year old resident of Calgary did everything possible to meet with the tiger.
Just after 1 a.m. local time Monday, a pair of 27-year-old men scaled the zoos 2.5-metre-high fence with barbed wire. Inside, they hopped another one-metre-high fence designed to keep the public at a safe distance from the Siberian tiger enclosure.
According to the local authorities, while the man was standing in front of the second fence, the two-year-old male came to the fence, caught his arm with its claws and pulled the man’s hand inside the cage.
The man’s friend managed to free him and then phoned the security-guard, who rushed to the scene of accident and took them to the security office.
The injured was hospitalized with deep wounds to his arms. The Siberian tiger suffered no injuries during the incident.
