VLADIVOSTOK. December 7. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Today December 7, Russia announced national day of mourning for the victims of the fire in a Perm nightclub.


The relevant decree was signed by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. National flags across the country will be flown at half mast. Television and radio broadcasting companies as well as cultural institutions were ordered to revise their programmes for the day cancelling all entertainment shows and commercials.


The tragedy occurred early on December 5, during a party to celebrate 7th anniversary of the Lame Horse nightclub. The club burned out almost completely with fire covering 400 square meters of the total area of 500 sq meters. According to the latest official reports, the death toll has risen to 110 with 120 injured.
