Alpine Skiing Workshop Takes Place in Sakhalin

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. February 8. VOSTOK-MEDIA – A series of workshops for Alpine skiing coaches will be held by skiing experts from Austria and Russia in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on Feb. 8-12.

The event was organized by Russian Ski Federation. Two members of Russian Ski Federation and three experts from Austria led by Mag. Hermann Wallner, Sports Academy - Head of department of snow sports, the University of Vienna, will give skiing classes every day till Feb. 12. The practical workshops will be held in STK Gony Vozdukh.

13 Alpine skiing coaches from the Russian Far East and 15 coaches from Sakhalin are expected to participate in the workshop, Sakhalin-Kurily news website reports.

The workshop is organized with the assistance of the Sakhalin Region Administration, Sakhalin Department for Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy as well as Russian Ski Federation, STK Gony Vozdukh, and Sakhalin Childrens and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve.
