The GW cruiser ‘Cowpens’ commanded by woman made a friendly visit to Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. May 8. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Alexander Zubritsky, Deputy Head of Vladivostok Administration met with delegation of the U.S. Navy GW cruiser ‘Cowpens’ headed by post captain Holly Graff on May 7. Vyacheslav Kushnarev, Head of Department of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Thomas Armbruster, U.S consul-general in Vladivostok and officer personnel of the cruiser also took part in the formal meeting.
The GW cruiser ‘Cowpens’ commanded by woman made a friendly visit to Vladivostok. A range of official and cultural events is planned within the framework of the visit. Traditionally, the Americans sailors intend to take part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Vladivostok World War II memorial together with the state officials. During the WW II Russia and USA were allies and the complement of ‘Cowpens’ intends to pay tribute to the memory of combatants and those countries sacrificed on the altar of the victory.
