This month agricultural businessmen will come to Primorye to discuss cooperation with Primorian agrarians

VLADIVOSTOK. 8 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Recently in Tokyo representatives of Japan and Russia have discussed construction of a new elevator in port and project participation of Japanese company “Sodzitsu”. Minister of Agricultural Department Alexey Gordeev said “that they are going to increase grain production in Syberia and export 2-3 million tones of grain to countries of Asian-Pacific region”.
Web-site narodnoeveche.ru informs that this is not the first time when Japanese counterpart is interested in our buckwheat. Other than Russia and Japan this grain is not taken as food and considered as weed. Japanese people make noodles out of buckwheat which they call yaki-soba or udon.
This summer largest Japanese companies – producers of rice sweets – paid attention to Primorskiy Krai. Part of a reason is that rice price has gone up last year and a half.
Now head of Chernigovskiy Region is ready to lend 50-60 ha to build experimental rice state farm or sovkhoz. This month agrarians from Japan will come to Primorye to discuss cooperation with their Russian counterpart.
