Anti-Crisis Measures is the Key Topic of the IV Far Eastern International Economic Forum
The forum is expected to yield valuable results in solving the problems of social and economic development of the region.
KHABAROVSK. September 8. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The IV Far Eastern International Economic Forum will be taking place today and tomorrow. On the eve of the forum, one of its participants, the First Deputy Head of the United Russia faction Vladimir Pekhtin, told media:
“The Economic Forum in Khabarovsk is held under the auspices of the State Duma and United Russia party. Business representatives, state officials as well as foreign guests take part in the forum. The Far Eastern International Economic Forum became one of the largest venues in Russia for discussion of economic issues. The number of participants grows from year to year.
The main theme of the forum this year is prospects for development of the Russian Far East and Siberia in the context of the global financial crisis. The main purpose of the participants is to provide expert evaluation of the taken measures and to develop new approaches to solving topical problems regarding the regional development. The issues concerning the development of the transport infrastructure, industry and oil & gas sector in the Russian Far East will be also discussed at the forum. In addition, the topics relating to the promotion of scientific research activities and innovative activities in the region, improvement of private-public partnership and human development will be the issues high on agenda.
I am confident that forum will yield valuable results in solving the problems of social and economic development of the region. I wish to all participants a very fruitful work, challenging discussions and new solutions aimed at the development of the Russian Far East.
