Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation Shows Interest in Vladivostok

A working meeting with the managers of the company was held in the City Hall

VLADIVOSTOK. September 8. VOSTOK-MEDIA – On September 7 Deputy Heads of Vladivostok Alexander Zubritsky and Alexander Chavyvhalov held a working meeting with the delegation of Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation headed by Yasushi Okuyama, Deputy General Manager in CIS countries.

Participants of the meeting included: Vyacheslav Kushnarev, Head of the Department of International Relations and Tourism of Vladivostok Administration, Nikolay Matvienko, head of investment management department, Anna Khaitarova, Regional Manager of Sumitomo Corporation as well as two other managers of the corporation Shigetoshi Tamoto and Tetsu Kasao, who arrived from Japan.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss co-operation between the administration of the capital of Primorsky Krai and Sumitomo Corporation on integration of promising technologies into the spheres of waste disposal, construction and maintenance of disposal facilities, power engineering facilities, car parks as well as road traffic optimization within the preparation for APEC-2012 Summit.

Yasushi Okuyama stressed that Sumitomo Corporation is proud to take part in the development of Vladivostok and expressed readiness to facilitate mutually-beneficial co-operation. To carry out study on opportunities for investment in the Vladivostok landscape development representatives of Sumitomo Corporation together with Primorsky Krai state officials will go to Beregovoye village located on the Peschany peninsula.
