Coasts of Russky Island Become Cleaner

VLADIVOSTOK. June 9. VOSTOK-MEDIA - Cleanup annual action ‘Clean Coast’, initiated by WWF Russia, took place in Primorskiy Krai. The action was held by small vessels’ owners in Novik Bay, Russky island on 6 June, reported press secretary of WWF-Russia Amur branch Elena Starostina.
The action called ‘Clean Coast’ takes place in Primorskiy Krai for the tenth time. It is held as part of celebration of the World Environment Day. The action has been launched in Khasan district, Primorskiy Krai by WWF-Russia on June 5, 2001. Since 2004 the sail-boating community of Vladivostok joined the annual cleanup arrangements.
“This year we invited owners of small vessels again to participate in the cleanup action together with our initiative group, sponsor companies, public associations and citizens of our city.” – said founder of www.motolodka.ru website Ivan Gusakov.
