Young actors from Vladivostok choir won silver medal in the World Choir Olympiad
VLADIVOSTOK. 11 September. VOSTOK-MEDIA. The 5th World Choir Olympiad took place in Austrian city Gtatz. Participated 450 choirs from 93 countries, it is as many as 20.000 voices all together.
Russia was presented by 30 children and young choirs. The most distant Russian participant was presented by Vladivostok choir “Rassvet”(dawn), musical school #1 named after S. Prokofiev. They have become the one to win a silver medal in the nomination “Folklore”.
Russian choral singers have won 18 medals out of 188 registered in contest: 3 golden, 14 silver and 1 bronze. At the nominating ceremony every choral singer have been given a personal invitation to the prize winners meeting which will take place in Korea in July 2009. Vladivostok “Rassvet” is planning to participate in the world Olympiad 2010 which will be held in China.
