VLADIVOSTOK. October 11. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The Vladivostok representative office of the Chinese consulate in Khabarovsk has resumed visa processing services earlier today after the week-long National Day celebrations. Coming back from a ten day vacation, the consulate faces long line of visa applicants.

To apply for a visa, people began lining up at the consulate hours before the opening. The consulate security guard said people started gathering since 4 a.m. By the time the consulate’s representative office opened at 9:30 a.m., the number of those waiting in line had reached a hundred. They were mostly tourists and employees of Vladivostok-based tour operators.

Fortunately, after the consulate opened its doors at 9:30 a.m., the line was progressing fairly quickly.

The National Day of the Peoples Republic of China is a public holiday celebrated every year on October 1.
