Renovation of Nakhodka Wedding Palace Completed
The opening ceremony takes place today.
NAKHODKA. February 12. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The renovation of the Nakhodka Wedding Palace has been completed. The opening ceremony takes place today, at 12:00 p.m.
A spokesman for Primorsky Krai General Register Office told Vostok-Media, the ceremony will include festive events and the giving of wedding presents to newly married couples. Head of Nakhodka Registry Office will perform the registration of marriages.
The renovation of the Registry Office building was funded from the federal and Primorsky Krai budgets. Capital and cosmetic repairs were made in the interior and exterior of the building. In addition, workers replaced the old roof coating with a new one, installed new heating system, wiring, plumbing fixtures, fire alarm, plastic windows and air conditioners.
Each year Nakhodka Registry Office registers about 7,000 acts of civil status. In 2009, the office registered 1,842 newborns, which is more than in 2008. Also, in 2009 17 sets of twins, one set of triplets and a set of quadruplets were born in Nakhodka.
The Registry Office employees say Hakhodka has seen an increasing number of marriages lately. In 2009, there were 1,365 marriages, up from 1,294 in 2008.
