Oldest Citizen of Russia Departs
The oldest citizen of Russia Varvara Semennikova has died in the age of 117 years.
In may of 2007 Semennikova celebrated her 117th anniversary and was officially acknowledged the oldest long-liver of Russia.
Semennikova was born in 1890 in the Zhigansky Ulus of Yakutia. She was married twice for her life. All her born children died that’s why she brought up three adopted children that gave her more than 20 grandsons and great-grandsons. The major part of her life Varvara did deer breeding and hunting.
