Vladivostok Team to Present Russia in China

VLADIVOSTOK. May 12. VOSTOK MEDIA – A Vladivostok picked team will present Russia during Piece March on speed walking which will be held May 17-18 in Dalian.
A coach of the Russian team, master of sports of the USSR, the best speed walking master, a member of the executive committee of the Universal Speed Walking League, the president of the Primorsky Speed Walking League Ginseng-Intur, Vacheslav Kitaev reports that the Russian picked team is collected from walkers of Vladivostok public organizations. Along with Russian sportsmen, sportsmen from Japan, Denmark, the Netherlands, India, Belgium, Vietnam, Philippines, New Zealand, Thailand, Norway, the USA, Korea, China and Indonesia.
Among sportsmen who will take part in this competition there are such walking veterans as 74 year old Nonna Prokopishina and 64 year old Nina Chizhikova. Both of them are awarded with golden cross of the queen Beatrixof the Netherlands for participation in the 80th Olympic Games in Neimengen.
The youngest participant of Piece March will be 9 year old Michael Vavrenuk, who climbed the legendary Pidan Mountain during final training.
