Singaporeans Invest in Dockyard in Russian Far East

The Russian party should hold not less than 25% of shares of the new project

VLADIVOSTOK. May 12. VOSTOK-MEDIA – The Singaporean shipbuilding company is ready to invest up to $ 5 billion in construction of a new dockyard in the Russian Far East. The statement was made by Vladimir Pakhomov, the president of United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
According to Pakhomov, the Russian party should hold not less than 25%. “Russia’s interest is the territory and infrastructure objects. The interest should not be less than blocking share holding.” –stated the manager of USC.
USC is ready to sign memorandum of cooperation with the Singaporean shipbuilding company. At the present time Russia anticipates a reply of the Singaporeans.
Previously, on May 11, it was reported that 59% of shares of Amur shipbuilding company (ASC) were transferred to USV. ASC is the largest plant in the Russian Far East.

"
