Night of Museums to Start in Vladivostok

VLADIVOSTOK. May 13. VOSTOK MEDIA. –Night of Museums will be held in Vladivostok. This year its motto will be – Open the door to the nigh museum.
The Culture Board of Regional Administration reports that the international project Night of Museums is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Regional Administration of Primorsky Krai and by communication of France under the patronage of the Council of Europe. This international project is very popular and it unites museums of Russia and Europe. Night of Museums is an international cultural event which is supported by 2000 museums from 38 European countries.
Vladivostok became a participant of this event in 2006 as the only city among cities of the Far Eastern Federal District and as the most Eastern European city which took part in the project.
This year the Arseniev Museum, galleries, show-rooms and creative teams will participate in Night of Museums. Over 12 exhibition sites are planed to take part in the project. There are not only usual exhibitions of photos, pictures and unique articles from the museum funds but also theatrical performances, installations, art shows, performances, fashion defilé, concerts of classical music. Night of Museums will last from May 17, 8 p.m. to May 18, 1 a.m.
