A Decision Regarding Creation of Salmon Natural Reserve at the North of Kamchatka was Made

PETROPAVLOVSK-KOMCHATSKIY. April 14. VOSTOK-MEDIA - Public consultations concerning organization of the state natural salmon reserve ‘Utkholok River’ was held in Korovan village. About 60 people gathered in the hall of the culture center of the village that is rather considerable number for this small village. The project of creation of the natural salmon reserve ‘Utkholok River’ was presented by Evgeniy Lobkov, the assistant manager of ‘wild fishes and biodiversity’. A special priority was given to the fact that the territory of the future surrounded by grass-root explorations. Preservation of the unique biodiversity of salmon fishes has been always a priority for locals. So a decision regarding creation of salmon natural Reserve at the North of Kamchatka was made by the Indigenous people.
