Militia Arrest Illegal Lumbermen

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. May 14. VOSTOK MEDIA. – In the middle of April the Subdivition for the fight on Economic Crime of the Department of Internal Affairs of Sakhalin Oblast got the information about the forest area with cut down trees.
The press service of the department of the Internal Affairs of Sakhalin Oblast reports that in the forest there is a great area with fallen trees.
While committing operational procedure the militiamen determined that a certain citizen of Kholmsk, an individual entrepreneur cut trees for forestry enterprise Patirechie. For this purpose he had hired two unemployed men.
It should be noted that the organizer had no special documents for this. During two months the lumbermen cut valuable trees which grow on the special ground of the Russian forest fund. These trees were transported with the equipment of the entrepreneur. The damage for the Russian forest fund is near 600 000 rubbles.
Against the entrepreneur brought an action according to part 3, clause 260 of the Russian criminal code.
