Japan to Promote Mini-Volleyball in Sakhalin

Experts say the exercises help to improve physical fitness with a slim chance of getting injured.

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. October 14. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Vice Governor of Sakhalin Region Alexander Burykin has held a working meeting with the delegation of all-Japan mini-Volleyball Association led by the President of the association Hidetoshi Kojima. The meeting was focused on promotion of this spot in the Sakhalin Region.


Alexander Burykin noted that the local authorities are ready to consider any mutually advantageous variants of co-operation with Japan.


“We are looking to strengthening friendly ties between Sakhalin Region and Japan. And sports are not the least important issue,” – stated the Vice Governor during the meeting.


Mini-volleyball appeared in Sakhalin 6 years ago. This sport became popular in 12 populated localities of the island region. Experts say that the exercises help to improve physical fitness with a slim chance of getting injured, reported press-service of the regional administration.
