Ice and Flame Cross-Country Race Kicked off in Khabarovsk

KHABAROVSK. February 15. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Ice and Flame cross-country race has kicked off in Khabarovsk Krai. 32 cross-country skiers from Komsomolsk and Khabarovsk will travel over 200 km from Bikin to Vladivostok.

The event was organized by Khabarovsk Krai Ministry of Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism, and is dedicated to the 65th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The race has started from the Memorial to Soviet Soldiers who died in Great Patriotic War in Bekin. The route runs along the railway. On their way to Vladivostok the skiers will stop over in Boitsovo, Lermontovka, Kotikovo, Krasitskoye, Dormidontovskoye, Pereyaslavka, and Korfovsk villages.

The skiers are expected to arrive in Vladivostok on Feb. 24.
