Rostekhnadzor to Take Part in IAEA Meeting

The meeting is held every three years in accordance with Nuclear Security Convention.

MOSCOW. April 15. VOSTOK MEDIA – The Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) will submit a report of the Russian Federation about nuclear and radioactive security to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The press service of Rostekhnadzor reports, the Russian National reports will be presented at the IAEA meeting held every three years in Vienna in accordance with the Nuclear Security Convention. The reports will be made by Sergey Adamchik, deputy director of Rostekhndzor.
The report is focused on the present nuclear power capacities of Russia, changes in legislation and regulations, Rostekhnadzor structure and activity of Rosenergoatom Concern.
The report contains information about carrying out security requirements, regularly held security checks, level of radioactive safety, anti-damage planning and physical protection.
Special attention is paid to safe storage of radioactive wastes and spent nuclear fuel.
