1880 – Accomplishment of 632-year construction of Köln Cathedral

VLADIVOSTOK. 15 October. VOSTOK-MEDIA.
1897, October, 15 – Regular transportation at the Transsiberian Railroad between Vladivostok and Khabarovsk.
1897 –Commercial Port opened in Vladivostok. This historic event proves the increased commodity circulation in the end of the 19th century. By that time Vladivostok had been visited by 246 commercial ships, 184 of which were from foreign countries.
1911 – Accomplishment of first city electric power station aimed at supplying tramlines. Small electric stations had already existed such as 125 kilowatt ones belonged to the trade house “Kunst & Albers” and 40 kilowatt of Churin’s firm.
1958 – First students enrolled to Kamchatkskiy Pedagogical Institute.
1976 – Vladivostok Garment factory “Zarya” stated ahead of schedule producing of 103 new items. At that time 11 items produced at the factory won a Prize of Quality.
1911 – Hydrographical ships “Taimir” and “Vaigach” returned to Vladivostok. They reached the creek of Kolima river and took photographing of the banks.
1979 – First Russian Tournament at the Russian Far East on Greek-Roman Fighting opened in the House of Physical Education in Vladivostok. This event was dedicated to the honour of Konstantin Sukhanov, one of the first chairmen of the Vladivostok City Council.

1570 – foundation of the city Pyongyang, now, the capital of North Korea.
1666 – The King Charles II set in a new fashion – wearing jackets.
1860 – 11 year old told Abraham Lincoln to wear beards. Later on Lincoln with beard appeared at the 5 dollar banknotes. Lincoln’s motto was: “If I do good things I feel well, if I do bad things I feel bad”.
1880 – Accomplishment of the 632-year construction of the Köln Cathedral. German Emperor Wilhelm I was present at the celebration in honour of construction of the Cathedral.
However, construction prolonged afterwards.
